... thanks for inspiring more "God help us!" and "God have mercy on us!" than I've heard in a long time. It's good to know more people in this country will be on their knees looking upward to our Father in Heaven for protection and peace today than yesterday. That's the bright side, right? Well, that plus the fact that Obama actually supports a playoff system for college football. Yes we can!
UPDATE: This dude has obviously been reading my blog. He even stole my stolen closing line of "Yes we can!" Seriously, the next 4 years wouldn't be a total waste if an Obama presidency could actually make a playoff happen.

I had to think a while before posting this....I love to read your blog and you intrigue me with your words. This picture is really misleading and was the source of very dirty politics back when Hillary and Obama were neck and neck. It is from Obama's visit to kenya, and apparently I read it is very common for politicians to wear the clothing style of the people they are visiting. See this link here. They have a bunch of pictures of Bush in clothing like this and Clinton too.

I am very disappointed with the outcome of the election. Jeff and I are republicans. I am even more concerned at the stuff I am hearing from christians and think now is the time that all eyes are on us.How we react to this will say alot about us. I am definitely praying for our new president and do believe his heart could be changed at anytime. I know God can do that.
I hope you dont mind me commenting.....
Respectfully-

Skye... thanks for the comment. I'm happy you chimed in! You'll be happy to know that the picture is down but not because I took it down per se. For some reason it wouldn't load anymore (at least not on my computer) so I just took it off so people wouldn't have to stare at a big rectangle with a red "x." I can understand where that picture might offend some and I really did consider that before posting it but I wanted to let the picture speak for itself. If his actions were customary, and I certainly believe what you are saying (haven't had time to click on the link yet but I will) then he has nothing to be ashamed of and anyone making derogatory remarks will be the ones left looking like ignorant chumps. I purposely did not put a sarcastic tag on the photo for that very reason (though I seriously considered it!) I'm probably not the person to look to for inspiration in lifting up Barack Obama (check out my flair on facebook!) but I honestly did pray for him tonight. I wish him no harm... in fact, it's quite the opposite as I am not confident in his salvation. I hope he lives to 200 or 300 years or however long it takes to find a personal relationship with Jesus and/or grow to be filled with the fruits of the spirit. I've prayed many times for Usama Bin Laden and also look forward to meeting Jeffrey Dahmer in heaven. I believe in the wonder-working power of the blood!
Anyway, your attitude is spot on that people are looking to Christians for their reaction and is duly noted. I still can't believe Barack Hussein Obama, when running against a true war hero who has served his country for over 50 years in one form or another, is the one we as a nation chose to be our president. It just doesn't feel right and that pic illustrates that sentiment for me. Besides, it's not like it is photoshopped or anything. It's authentic.
PS: I just looked at that link and have a few thoughts. First of all, I see no photos with other leaders dressed in MUSLIM clothing. That's significant to me because I do not want our leaders to be friendly with them in that way. That's just me and I know it's not very diplomatic but believe me, their fundamentalists would not dress "western" unless it's to disguise themselves to carry out an attack. Second of all, he wasn't visiting in an official capacity as best I can tell. It just looks like he's trying to "enlighten" himself. Besides, Obama most definitely has Muslim relatives (some cousins are admittedly Wasabi) with questionable "Muslim" education credentials. It's natural that people would be sensitive and in the history of the US, we've never had ANYONE so closely aligned with the Muslim community. It makes me nervous.
Skye... my last comment sounded rude towards you. Sorry... hopefully you know I don't mean it that way! :) I'm thrilled you stop by to voice your opinions (valid points, too) Don't worry as I am very thick-skinned. I fully realize that I am "radical" in lots (LOTS!) of my opinions and I'd be rather surprised if they majority of folks agreed with me. Anyway, I hope you will keep chiming in every now and then. I'm going to try to put the kabash on the political talk for a while, though lots of folks here don't want to talk football either... :)
